Membership in NTETSIA shall be open to individuals and institutions who have the legal capacity to enter into contractual agreements and who accept to abide by the provisions of this Constitution and the policies of the Organization.
Membership shall be voluntary and governed solely by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, regardless of the geographical location of the member.
Any individual or institution that joins NTETSIA acknowledges that their membership is subject to the regulatory framework of the Social Welfare Department of Ghana and is governed by NTETSIA’s Constitution.
6.2 Membership Categories
Membership in NTETSIA shall be classified into the following categories:
6.2.1 Contributors
Contributors shall be the only members eligible to provide financial support to entrepreneurs with viable projects under the oversight of NTETSIA.
Contributors may provide support in cash, expertise, or in kind.
A Contributor may contribute resources to enable an entrepreneur to achieve their business aspirations.
When the entrepreneur succeeds, NTETSIA shall ensure that the respective Contributor benefits in proportion to their contributions as per NTETSIA’s policies.
No Contributor shall have ownership rights in the dream company of an entrepreneur they directly supported.
Only Contributors shall be eligible to profit financially from their direct contributions to successful entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs, together with NTETSIA, shall provide Contributors with project updates and relevant information.
Contributors shall request project information only through NTETSIA approved channels and not directly from the project companies.
Only Contributors have the right to submit projects for evaluation and contribution.
6.2.2 Types of Contributors
A. Individual Contributors: Shall be individuals with the legal capacity to enter into a contract.
B. Contributors in Trust For (CITF): Shall be minors whose Contributor status shall be held by an adult Contributor until they attain the age of 18.
C. Institutional Contributors: Institutional Contributors shall commence their membership from the Diamond Contributor category.
6.2.3 Categories of Contributors
Standard Contributors
Eligible to contribute up to ten (10) NTE.
Contributions shall be restricted to entrepreneurs within their home countries.
Platinum Contributors
Eligible to contribute up to one hundred (100) NTE.
Contributions shall extend beyond the national level but shall be restricted to entrepreneurs within their home continent.
Diamond Contributors
Eligible to contribute up to one thousand (1,000) NTE.
Contributions shall extend beyond national and continental levels, making them global contributors.
Customized Contributors
Subject to Council approval, these Contributors may negotiate contribution limits on a project by project basis.
The Council may allow them to attend board meetings of supported companies.
The volume, scope, and admission fees of Customized Contributors shall be determined by the Council.
6.3 Contributors’ Rights and Responsibilities
6.3.1 Rights of Contributors
Right to Capital and Expertise:
Any Contributor, subject to Council approval, shall have the right to submit viable projects for funding and expert support, regardless of their category.
Right to Employment:
Contributors identified as job seekers shall have eligibility for employment within NTETSIA’s established companies.
No non Contributor shall be employed over an equally competent Contributor.
All job vacancies shall be offered to qualified Contributors on merit.
Right to Honourarium:
Contributors shall benefit from the success of entrepreneurs they support, in a manner that ensures fairness and sustainability.
The benefits shall be proportional to the Contributor’s financial contribution to that project.
NTETSIA shall oversee the process to ensure compliance with this clause.
No Ownership Rights:
No Contributor shall claim ownership of an entrepreneur’s dream project.
NTETSIA shall manage ownership rights on behalf of Contributors in accordance with its Constitution.
Right to Information:
NTETSIA shall implement measures to ensure Contributors can access organizational information through approved channels.
Right to Choose Projects:
Contributors may choose whether or not to support a particular project.
Right to Transfer:
Contributors may transfer part or all of their NTE contributions to beneficiaries by notifying the Council.
6.3.2 Responsibilities of Contributors
Responsibility to Report Irregularities:
Contributors shall report any fraud, malpractice, or unethical behavior to NTETSIA.
Responsibility to Defend the Constitution:
All Contributors shall abide by and uphold the Constitution of NTETSIA.
Responsibility to Uphold High Standards:
Contributors shall uphold ethical, professional, and industrial standards in all dealings within and outside NTETSIA
6.4 Terms and Conditions of Contributions
Contributions shall be made directly to approved entrepreneurs through NTETSIA’s financial system.
All ownership rights in supported companies shall be exercised solely by NTETSIA on behalf of Contributors .
Contributors shall have the right to request project updates, but the Council shall determine whether the information is appropriate for release.
Contributions shall be permanent and non refundable .
If a contribution is not used for its intended purpose, it shall be redistributed among the Contributors.
Entrepreneurs may contribute to their own dream projects and receive the same benefits as other Contributors.
Honourarium from supported projects shall be transferred to the estate of deceased Contributors.
If a project company winds up, NTETSIA shall ensure that remaining proceeds are distributed among the respective Contributors.
Contributions are voluntary and not compulsory.
Institutional Contributors shall appoint at least two representatives to authorize contributions.
6.5 Contributor Upgrades and Restrictions
Contributors may upgrade their category by meeting the required criteria.
No Contributor shall be allowed to downgrade their category.
Institutional Contributors shall be admitted from the Platinum level or higher.
NTETSIA reserves the right to place category restrictions if deemed necessary.
6.6 Membership Withdrawal and Removal
6.6.1 Voluntary Withdrawal
A Contributor may resign by submitting a written notice to NTETSIA.
Withdrawn members are not entitled to a refund of contributions but may continue receiving honourarium if applicable.
NTETSIA reserves the right to treat forfeited funds as donations.
6.6.2 Removal from Membership
A Contributor may be removed by Council resolution if their continued membership is deemed detrimental to NTETSIA.
Prior to removal, the affected Contributor shall be given the right to defend themselves before the Council.
